The Aims and Scope of Jog Story
The primary objective of the organizer Pro Veritate Association is to bridge the gap between people and the world of law. Within the scope of our social responsibility and our core public-benefit activities, we place significant emphasis on the protection, education, development, and nurturing of children, along with talent development. We are dedicated to preparing children for the future, a conscious adult life, and the challenges of digital transformation. Our aim is to complement the traditional (public education) toolkit available for child education and development with innovative tools and methods.
Through the „Jog Story” international drawing competition, we provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to engage children in playful discussions about legal topics. These topics might include justice and fairness, right and wrong, the functioning of states, nations, and the world, historical perspectives, human rights, environmental protection, and the welfare of nature and animals. During this process, children learn and develop through play and creative expression. Beyond the joy of drawing and artistic value creation, „Jog Story” has a profound impact on raising awareness, fostering development, and enhancing equality of opportunity and lifestyle. Reflecting on and depicting the theme can strengthen conscious thinking from an early age, contributing to the intellectual and cultural advancement of society.
Who Can Participate and How
The „Jog Story” initiative invites participation from elementary school-aged children both domestically and internationally, with special attention to Hungarian-speaking communities beyond Hungary’s borders. The competition is divided into three categories: (1) lower primary school students, (2) upper primary school students, and (3) socially or medically disadvantaged children, including those attending special education schools. Submissions can be created using any medium or technique (e.g., pencil, pen, crayon, watercolor, ink, etc.) and must adhere to an A4 size. A professional jury composed of teachers, legal experts, and artists evaluates the entries. Winners are announced in all three categories, with additional special awards for individual and thematic achievements, as well as a public choice award. We strive to provide every participant with a memorable experience, whether through prizes, recognition, certificates, or surprises, ensuring that as many children as possible find joy in the competition.
Submission
The competition is open to Hungarian-speaking children aged 6 to 16, residing in Hungary or abroad. Participants may submit an original, A4-sized, one-sided drawing created using any material or technique (e.g., pencil, pen, crayon, watercolor, ink, etc.). The submission deadline is April 30, 2025. (To be considered valid, the entry must be postmarked no later than the deadline.)
